Meet "Norris Powell"

BORN: Jackson, MS

SCHOOL:  South Delta High school

COLLEGE: Hinds Community College & Jackson State University

I started my in the finance world at a young age. While living in a single parent household, I was oblivious to my mother’s short comings. She disguised our struggles with adventures. Like picking greens, beans, and vegetables from our garden and sometimes fishing together to make meals. On weekends, we would go visit Jackson, Ms to our grandparents house. My grandfather would always have the television on the news channel and would ask us to write down the price of SPY, Apple, and Microsoft. We would hate doing that boring stuff, but he would always say, “The stock market is always open and will never require you to physically work.” Later in life, I became a loan officer and financial advisor for the local credit union where I worked for 11 years. Throughout that time I learned more about stocks through assisting clients with 401ks, ROTH & Traditional IRA’s, and credit improvement. Fast forward, now I have almost 2 decades in finance, hosted several financial literacy courses, coached 100’s of people ages ranging from 16 and up, and now with our team, we have a reach of over 50,000. I have attended events such as Invest Fest, was a guest at the Nasdaq closing bell, and now I host charting sessions I make available for the entire world to hear. Our goal is to spread what we have learned, and to bring hope to financial freedom with knowledge. The journey is just starting, and we have a seat for you to join.
